Discover Puppets in the Spanish-Speaking World
In Episode 3, Carmen and her crew attend a wayang shadow puppet festival. Kids are tasked with gathering data about the giant puppets seen in Spanish-speaking countries.
Activity Instructions
Kids research giant puppets in Spain or another Spanish-speaking country.
(For example: Las Fallas in Valencia, or the puppets in Bilbao during the Semana Grande. Kids can use learn.hmhco.com/LasFallas for reference.)
- Have kids form small groups and select a topic.
- Have kids split up the research tasks. Once the research is complete, kids collaborate to create a presentation about their topic.
- Kids present their findings to the class.
