Travel with Carmen Sandiego™ to Kenya! This country in Africa is home to a diversity of animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceroses, and buffalos. Richard Turere is a teen who lives in Kenya, in a farming community. For years, hungry lions attacked the farmers’ livestock, including goats and cows. The farmers wanted to kill the lions. But at age 12, Richard invented Lion Lights, motion-sensor light bulbs that shine when a lion gets near, scaring it away.
